let me do a decent post for once. haha!
week started out rough. (the beginning of the week is effectively tuesday now due to the no classes on monday thing) math was all about the trigo and it suddenly became so complicated. devoting the whole day tomorrow for studying by the way. exam on monday. family, please do not make plans that include going out of the house. going to church is inevitable but let's just leave it at that. next up was comm 3 where we were the first to face the class for panel discussion. it went pretty well except we weren't able to show the videos we all searched for. it was a major loss since our topic was reality television and we didn't have any videos to back our statements up. i really wanted to use the hills finale episode since that sums up the blurred lines between reality and scripted tv. one of my group mates also had a video he was really excited about sharing. a real shame. as for the discussion itself, it went as well as it could have is the most i can say about it. there was just one "OMG. WHY DID I SAY THAT?" moment i had. i asked them if they watched any shows they were embarrassed to admit they watched. of course, no one spoke up. genius moment for me really. and i pointed out that maybe this guy group mate of mine watched project runway - purely for the lulz. but he took it way too seriously and said to me, "what's wrong with that?" in an unmistakably annoyed tone. geez. i was just making a hypothetical example. he didn't have to take it to heart. ah well.
can i just say that is is impossible for me to stay awake during bio 1. i do not know what it is. the feeling is akin to religion class back in second year when no matter what i did, my eyelids were just too heavy. i try to pinch myself to stay awake but it only works temporarily and may even give me bruises. the only real solution is for my seat mates (shout out to hana and ellie!) to talk to me. that wakes me right up and makes me interested in the lesson. this tuesday, we watched another documentary. this time, about endangered animals. then this thurday, we had a lesson about bio warfare/bio piracy/emerging and re-emerging diseases (ebola! mad cow! tuberculosis!) i love bio because it is the only class where i feel i caught a break. thank you, bio and prof. herrera for making my life a little easier :)
i only met my kas classes once this week since the teachers have a conference to go to in ilo-ilo. yay! we just watched bayaning third world in kas 1. in kas 2, we had that disastrous reporting and the sharing of asian cuisine experiences. ugh. i really hate kas 2 right now. why ever did i get enlisted in that class?
for the extra stuff, i saw shock value by dulaang up yesterday. i'll save my comments for the reaction paper i'm supposed to write. maybe i should just post it here as well so i can keep the paper a bit conversational which is what the prof said she wanted. what else? that's the highlight of the week at least. still hella worried about my comm 3 interview which i have not yet done. gonna have to do a follow-up tomorrow. cannot afford to put it off any longer.
ok. time to unload all the stress again.
- math 17 4th long exam
- comm 3 interview
- reaction paper on Shock Value
- read chapter on ethos
- visit dilc to listen to one of the speakers (?)
- bio news sharing (already did the research for this! ha! actually, i thought we were doing the sharing last thursday. but still, HA!)
- kas 1 term paper
- kas 1 payment (P1500. WTF. FOR CORREGIDOR?) + waiver
- kas 2 short quiz
- read kas 2 readings
- PE practical (!!)
that always makes me feel so much better. things come into perspective as they say. comm 3 is something else. so many requirements! :(( i'd be so less worried if i can just finish the interview already. baka ma-incomplete pako dahil jan ah. jusko, wag naman! haha! napatagalog na eh.
