anyhow, i ended up really enjoying finance since it is a very practical subject and not so computation heavy like accounting. ma'am wong is a great teacher although she can get really scary at times (especially during the exams).
speaking of exams, i calculated that the highest score i could possibly get for the exam earlier is about 84 (optimistic na to ah). the theory part was easy but i had a hard time computing for the net profit/loss when changing credit standards since the problem wasn't phrased as it was in the book. i didn't expect it to be but still...biglang humirap! partial points are a no go, so all i can hope for is the best. 23 or 25 days man ang ACP na yan, i'm pretty sure i still gave it my all. i also royally fucked up in the opportunity cost part of computing reduction in collection float. that entire thing was worth 6 points so i can just kiss those goodbye too. as for the cases part, maaaaan, i think i got a lot of those wrong. this just shows how i left most of the computations to my groupmates, donna, kim, and ilona. i don't think i answered any of the case questions with certainty apart from 1 or 2 which were qualitative. hopefully, my optimistic prediction is right and i do get a score somewhere in the mid-80s :)
161 is also over and done with, thank goodness. major source of stress although i was only ever called once (and was then promptly put "on deck"). hoping for a good grade in this class. mga 1.5 naman sana? haha! they do say sir rivera is all bark in the beginning but doesn't actually give a grade below 2.00. in hindsight, the method is effective for getting us all to read the lessons every damn meeting. it became a law appreciation class after all. but the appreciation doesn't come until much later. i hope i did well in the exams since i doubt he's gonna give it back to us. an optimistic grade is around 1.25 but that's really just wishful thinking.
