Back to Reality

isn't it awful when people you thought knew who you are turns out to be people who knew who you were? /thoughts that enter my mind.

anyway, i consider today my back to school day. all weekend i've been busy studying for the math midterms. monday, i took the midterms and let loose by watching inception at greenhills. tuesday, free cut for two subjects (out of three) so i that was a waste of a day. but today! goodness! back to school it is!

morning started out slow as usual - in terms of me waking up. come 7:30 though i was out the door and hurrying to get to my first class, math 17. you see, we had groupings to report on the topics that would cover the third long exam (which is already next week. gasp.). according to our teacher, he would give us 20% if we got our reports right. i was set to go 5th but by some twist of fate, i was picked to report last among our group. my seatmate, frances, genuinely helped me to understand my topic. i was so grateful to her but in the end, i only had to state the theorem and give one example. i sighed in relief when i went back to my chair. but as i left the math building, i wondered if he wanted me to dish out the proof and all that :-S i'm glad it's over but i know i could have done better. ahhh. shoulda, woulda, coulda.

my next class was kas 1 and all we talked about pamahiin or beliefs passed down from generation to generation which we can only guess at why they exist in the first place. it was fun and boring at the same time. haha. the class ended and we were asked to get more readings (sigh). i had lunch with mavis at casaa and then headed straight to the CHK gym. i just changed into my PE clothes and sat down at the bleachers to start on my kas 2 readings. i was there pretty early so i had a lot of time for reading. then, my PE teacher's friend (who sometimes plays table tennis with us) sits beside me and tells me he's thankful he graduated already so that he wouldn't have to read thick readings anymore. i go back to my reading and then he changes from slippers to rubber shoes. i'm so sorry to say this....but the smell! whew! can we get a breeze in here or something? (since we were inside the gym, that was just pure wishful thinking) fortunately, he went away immediately to play basketball. i won't dwell too much on what happened during PE class. it was mostly failz and having a visibly pissed off partner didn't really help much. sigh. i suppose i'd be pissed off too if everything wasn't going my way. but still. you can't give up.

i head back to AS for kas 2. we got our first long exam back. gawd. i suck. i only got 13 out of 20. lessons learned: take more notes (especially things he says in class), read the readings multiple times, and make my essays longer. there. that should do it. kas 2 is fun because of my teacher. but the coverage itself sometimes cancels out the interestingness of it all.

it's been a long day and i've got more studying to do. because really, that's all i have time for these days.

NOTE TO SELF: OPEN TUMBLR ON WEEKENDS ONLY. IT WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF TIME. PROMISE.
