hello. it's me, andrea. brand new blog for my brand new life.
let's start this blog with something honest. i'm failing at school. it hit me hard as i was on my home from school earlier. all because i failed to answer a test question for kas 2 in front of the entire class. on top of that, i had a lot of mistakes in our first long exam. it made me really depressed since i studied for it and i got so many answers wrong. one was marked wrong because of a technicality. after that initial blow, my other failures over the past week came flooding back. the answers i guessed on the comm 3 midterms. my math 17 standing. my failure at table tennis. the bio long exam. etcetera. you can understand why this depresses me right? enough to keep me from going to the first batch party later. i just can't stomach having fun while all these things are made clear to me.
math 17 in particular makes me want to cry. i failed the first long exam. i studied hard for the second long exam (part 1) and i thought my answers in the exam made sense. how wrong i was. i got 16.5 out of 40 points. that's like 40% or something. i really hope i did better on the second exam so i'll pass the second long exam. math 17 is five units after all. i can't afford to fail it. i can't afford to fail any subject.
so i've come to the realization that the honey moon period is well over. it's time to buckle down and get my head in the game because if i don't, i'll just have so many problems that i don't care to think about right now. my high school study habits are obviously no longer applicable to college work. cramming has proven to be ineffective. i've learned that professors ask the most unexpected things in exams. things that perhaps you can answer if you know the material well in comm 3. if you listen well in class for kas 2. and if you just have a vast knowledge of biology for bio 1.
so in general, this past week was a major fail. i need to step up and show them that i deserve to stay and i deserve a high grade. especially in math. i cannot fail. i forbid it.
