has gotta be one of the most stressful things on the planet. first there's pre-enlistment that is divided into 2 batch runs. in the first run, i got 13 units (which i posted about before). luckily, on the second run, i got the 2 MSTs that i needed - Geol 1 and NatSci 1. geol is good and familiar but i'm hoping natsci treats me well. people rarely take it because they say it's boring and hard. the silver lining is, donna is my classmate in that class so i'm hoping we can help each other out. mostly to keep the boredom at bay and the subject matter lighter. but i'm determined to go into this with a positive attitude so i'm putting natsci's reputation aside and letting myself experience it from a blank slate. (i'm sure something is wrong with that previous sentence. haha) i'm also taking english 11 which is short stories and poems. and a bunch of other GEs (i'd rather not elaborate. hahaha)
so i go to school to enroll and thankfully, i meet donna there and we enroll together. her presence made everything seem much faster because it's awesome to have someone to talk to while in a queue and it's so awesome to have someone with you when you're not sure where you're supposed to go to next. the whole process itself went pretty smoothly. i was at the OUR before lunch getting ready to pay so i can get the hell outta there. as luck would have it, i lined up just as the woman was having printing problems. seriously, i stayed in that line for 20 minutes since i was already next but finally gave up and moved to the back of another line. when it finally (finally!) my turn to pay, the woman at the desk said that they could not read the barcode on my form 5. a look of stupidity came across my face and i asked her what i was supposed to do about it. she told me i had to go back to my college, which is far away FYI, to get my form 5 reprinted. i absolutely panicked and went outside immediately. i regretted that because i didn't ask her to scan the barcode again to check if there was an error. i considered my next move as i got in the toki. should i go by the cashier's office and just make them scan it there, or do i head straight to CBA to get it reprinted. i went with going to the cashier's office but when i saw the line, i knew i had only one option left. i got to CBA and mercifully, the lady agreed to reprint my form 5. i explained to her the ruckus back at OUR and she told me that one of their printers were defective and quite a number of people had gone back to get their form 5 reprinted as well. the only hurdle remaining was the college advisor who had to counter-sign my form 5. she was nowhere to be found and they told me the advisors were on lunch break. EFFING LUNCH BREAK. with nothing to do, i went to the library and listened to my ipod. at around 12:55, i left the library and saw this other guy waiting around for the adviser just like i was. sharing the same fate, we decided to work together to be done with the entire thing.
goodness. long story short, i was able to pay in the end and got home at about 2:30 PM. considering that i was at UP by 9 AM, i spent about 5 hours enrolling. friggin' awesome. i mean, other people had to go back the next day, other people had to pre-rog! i consider myself lucky, i do.
