Christmas Shopping

when other people blog, it inspires me to blog as well. so here goes!

i woke up today at the ungodly hour of 7 AM to run an errand for my mom. well, it's not really for my mom. see, the check of my education plan was ready so all that's left to do is to get it from the makati office and deposit it in the bank. me and my two sisters went there this morning and spent around 15 minutes there before they got to us. i got the check, deposited it and went my merry way to the mall to shop for presents. my eldest sister dumped us at the mall while she had lunch to discuss her work options. getting presents was surprisingly easy this time around as i only had 4 people on my shopping list. i remember high school where i gave a present to all my classmates. ALL 48 OF THEM. haha. those were fun. now, unless i go to a christmas party, i'm not really obliged to give anyone a present. which sucks because that means i don't get any either. the first christmas present i got was from a geog classmate. she got me a tumblr. ngl, it feels like a regift. but the gift i gave was a regift as well so it balances out. so far that's all i've gotten so compared to previous christmases, this one is turning out to be pretty lame.

so what did i get the lucky 4 on my list. i know for a fact they don't know about this blog so it's safe to talk about it here. i got my mom a poncho type thing. i hope she likes it 'cause she does like to layer all the time. i got my dad a tie because last time we went to a wedding, he was freaking out 'cause all 3 of his ties went missing. problem solved. i got my eldest sister a box of underwear. i know that's hella weird but i have no inkling of what to get her since she's waaaay richer than me. she said she wanted underwear, well, underwear she's gonna get. finally, my other sister who took all the thinking that goes into a gift out of the equation by asking me to pay for something she would have to buy eventually. we passed by a stall at the mall that made these digital stamps. apparently, she needs one that has "M.D." attached at the end along with her license number. i'm glad i got her a gift she can use :) so that's the shopping for the day. i bought some other stuff for me as well but they're not worth mentioning. haha.

so it's 7:07 now and people at trinoma are probably waiting for darren criss to come out IF he's not already on stage, performing. i was all set to go but it seems that my lack of response to the said event on facebook led my friends to assume i wasn't interested. add to that the fact that i don't have a twitter - which basically means people don't know what i'm up to every time there's something up - equals "andrea doesn't really wanna see darren criss". i want to, but like the feeling of not studying for a test 5 minutes before you have to take the test, i feel like i don't even know any of darren criss' music. sure, i loved him in glee but it's with a very potter musical that his fans are from. so i'm not good on that account.

nonetheless, today was a success and i'm glad to be done with my christmas shopping. it's strange how i didn't know how to answer when my other sister asked me what i wanted for christmas. of course, i had to consider her budget with my answer so i ended up telling her, "laptop cooling pad". haha. and that's what she got me forreal. but what do i really want? here's my wishlist this year :D

• toms shoes (waaaaaant. so bad.)
• wristwatch (i really need this)
• iphone
• FLATS!!! can you believe i don't own a single pair at the moment??
• books i have in e-book form that i would like to own in real-book form (catching fire, mockingjay, etc.)
• more jeans, tops (for everyday school wear)
• fashion shorts?? :))
• iphone

you might notice how materialistic i am. that's just because i'm saving all the abstract thing for new year's :P
