Back to School

today is my first day back at school which means it's my first official day as a sophomore.

and a sophomore student i surely felt when i woke up at 5 this morning to contemplate whether i should rush to the math building and prerog a math 2 class. i struggled between wanting to be there for donna and getting some more sleep. since i couldn't fully decide, i lay in bed trying to sleep while subconsciously weighing the implications of the delay. as usual, fate decided for me and my mom went into my room and told me to get up and get ready. i go about my business and make my way to school.

rarely do these things work out for me, but i suddenly find myself at school on 8 PM, signing up for a 7 AM math 2 class on wednesdays and fridays. donna didn't get the schedule she wanted but it still worked out for the best since she got ramon bautista's film 10 class.

up next is the econ 100.1 lecture class and it felt weird seeing so many familiar faces all around me. i am surprised to find myself in a group - and not all alone - as i would often imagine myself. the lecture was boring so i have to figure out some way to stay awake so i can ace this class. goodness knows i need to ace some classes. my fellow BA theresians are totally kicking my ass.

i go head to head with my three-hour break which i spend with dea and bea. it was fun enough but we were bored as fuck by the latter half of it. it was decided that movie marathons or lunch in faraway places would be a sufficient way to spend our time in the future.

99.1 class rolls around and i am even more freaked out that all my classmates are from BA. it's so odd. like it's not supposed to be happening. someone please find the grade-conscious girl in me before i combust. the teacher seems really nice and i hope she teaches well. class is dismissed early.

sam and i decide to commute together and we get sidetracked by hunger and the 5-storey national bookstore at cubao. turns out, textbooks are really expensive. sheesh. whatever happened to educating for education's sake? hahaha.

i go home and proceed to waste all my time on nonsensical things when i should have been getting a head start on my reading list. fuck my life.

now, i have three meetings tomorrow, 2 of them on the same time slot as my anthro 10 class. the other one is on 5:30 PM. my class ends at 1.

i'm off to such a fabulous start.
