Bad Day

today was a bad day. we ended up starting on fourth long exam topics in math among other things. but what really got to me was what happened in english. our teacher was 35 minutes late and sent this woman ahead to tell us to wait for her. she asked us to interpret the poems "ode on a grecian urn" and "do not go gentle into the good night". so our teacher comes in and starts discussing "ode" right away. the first few people she asked regarding the theme couldn't answer properly so she gave us a pop quiz on the poems. we were told to write one paragraph each on the two poems on their theme and message. she was quite pissed off at that point. just my luck. the one time i didn't read the poems ahead, she decides to spring a pop quiz. naturally, i have no idea what the poem is about or what the hell it's saying. she asked us to pass it 20 minutes later and she read them all right away. she commended the people who got the "right" answer and hastily put down the rest who got it wrong. one of the people who got it wrong? ME. she asked the people who got the correct response how they came up with their answer. some researched ahead and some lucked out and interpreted it right. that teacher applauded those who got it right just by interpreting it and said they were intelligent enough to get the meaning of the poem on their own.

so she's basically saying the people who didn't get the poem are stupid. fucking teacher. i hate her and i hate her class. she comes in late, she's missed more than six meetings and she expects us to be enthusiastic about what she's teaching. news flash teacher, you only get what you give.

we finally (finally!) had our panpil exam. our teacher wasn't there either and it was administered by another woman. the "exam" was 25 multiple choice questions. some were tricky but most of it was answerable. i hope i get a high grade on it. goodness knows i spent a lot of time studying for it. chem was a pain as usual because i couldn't understand most of it. she teaches really fast and doesn't give any helpful hints on how to make the work easier (shout out to my third year high school chem teacher who actually made chemistry fun).

i'm getting depressed by the trans project at ABAM. our trans head shouldn't have made me pub head because i have no interest in publicity. i'm only in it for the pub mat making. cheesus. this is me hating any form of opportunity that comes my way.

such a depressing day. and i bet tomorrow is another one.
